Recycling Information for Clyde Residents

Congratulations, you are receiving a 65-gallon rolling recycling cart as part of your services from the Town of Clyde. Please use this cart for recycling materials from your household. These carts will be assigned to the address, not the customer. If you are a renter and you move, you will need to leave the cart with the residence.

We encourage full participation in this effort. Recycling keeps valuable resources from going into our landfills. It creates a chain of jobs from collection to processing to manufacturing. Recycling provides material for making new products that range from new packaging to clothing and automotive parts.

For your convenience and information, “Recycling Questions and Answers” are included on the reverse side of this letter. Please retain this letter for future reference.

It is important to understand that we will no longer pick up blue bags for recyclables after January 2020. All acceptable recyclables must be placed directly in your 65-gallon rolling recycling cart. Enclosed with this packet is a list of Acceptable Recyclables that are allowed. We are also including a magnet to put in an accessible place.

Recycling cart pick-ups will begin on the same day your trash service is picked up, beginning in the month of February. We encourage you to put your recycling cart out only if it is more than half full. If items are placed in the recycling cart that are not acceptable recycling items, then your cart will not be picked up and will be tagged with an OOPS tag marking why your cart was not emptied. We understand this is going to be a change in the process, but we are here to help you through it if you should have any questions.

The Town strongly encourages all residents to participate in our recycling program. Thank you for your cooperation. Remember…. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!
